Mr. Jamaal Earnest “Ernie” Ellis was born on February 28, 2001 to the parentage of Roshell Phillips and Lintae Ellis.
Jamaal lived such a carefree life. He didn’t live to do things the way we thought he should but instead wasn’t bothered by the cares of this world. If we didn’t know anything else, we knew that he enjoyed life to the fullest and always wanted to have a good time.
Jamaal was a 2019 graduate of Hoke County High School in Raeford, North Carolina. He enlisted in the United States Army in 2019.
Jamaal transitioned to be with the Lord on Friday, April 19, 2024.
Jamaal was preceded in death by his grandmother, Tracie P. Waller and an aunt, Terri Phillips.
He is survived by a son, Amir Josiah Ellis, whom he loved and cherished; his mother and father, Roshell and Gregory Sabiniewicz, his father Lintae Ellis; special parents, Cathy and Elisha Cannida; his brother, Cameron Mariusz Sabiniewicz; his sisters, Maci Aleksandra Sabiniewicz, Tamaya Faith (Devin) Dash, Summer Unique Ellis and Aaliyah Raquel Ellis; special brothers, Brian (Erica) Cannida and Denzel Cannida; grandfathers, Willie McClelland and Roman Sabiniewicz; grandmothers, Valarie Ellis Plains, Ruby J. Blair, Maria Sabiniewicz, Marie Harrison and Cozenia Rogers; his aunts; Nija McClelland, Shavoskey (Nakia) Mincey, and Nicole Ellis; great aunts, Mia (Leon) McKinney, Koneecheewia (Eric) Harden, Lateris (Chris) Jackson, Shonee Lee (Tyrone), Mattie Lee (Wardell), Jacquelin Brewton, Vantlace (Patrick) Newkirk, Sonya Stokes, and Shikina Harris; great uncles, Keith (Buffy) Phillips, Anthony McClelland, Louis Phillips, Tracy (Miranda) Blair, Thez Lee, Anthony Phillips and Adam Sabiniewicz; great great aunts, Mary Ann Phillips and Diana (James) Atkins; special aunts, Farrah Blue and Shawnte Brown; special friends, Kaliah Singletary, Dequan McMillian, Brandon Burney, Tailek Daniels, Alexia Mattocks and Taliyah Ferguson; and a host of loving cousins and friends.
Public Viewing will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. at the Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home, 211 W. Liberty Ave., Lyons GA.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at the First African Baptist Church, 206 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Vidalia, Georgia. Burial will follow in the McRae Cemetery, Mount Vernon, Georgia.
