Another area school had to address a threat allegedly made by a student as did Toombs County Middle School on Monday.
The Candler County Sheriff’s Office reports that Wednesday morning, a student at Metter High School threatened to cause a situation at the school and while the Sheriff’s Office did not say what that threat was, a teacher who heard the comment didn’t take the threat idly and quickly informed the administration who then contacted School Resource officers. The officers removed the student from the premises, and the unidentified student will face appropriate disciplinary actions based on the severity of the threat.
