George McLendon, Manager at Altamaha EMC/Fiber, recently handed over the proceeds from the 2nd Annual Altamaha EMC/Fiber Golf Classic to Steve Chalker, COO of the Burn Foundation of America.
McLendon said, "We extend our sincere appreciation to all who supported the tournament, contributing to its remarkable success. The Burn Foundation's invaluable efforts not only benefit our local community but also extend their reach statewide and beyond. We are proud to stand in solidarity with them and eagerly anticipate another fantastic event this year."
With an impressive sum exceeding $28,000 raised, the funds will directly benefit burn patients undergoing treatment at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA. These funds will facilitate essential services like lodging, transportation, meals, and prescription assistance.
