Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Bryant Jordan, age 82, of Lyons, died Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at her residence after an extended illness, under the care of Community Hospice. She was a native of DeKalb County, and being a pastor’s wife, lived all over the state of Georgia, until moving to Lyons eight years ago. Mrs. Pat graduated from Stone Mountain High School in 1959 and worked for a number of years with the Georgia Department of Corrections as an executive secretary. She was of the Baptist faith and in her spare time she enjoyed painting, cross stitching and even played softball commercially. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Lee Bryant and Mildred Bryant; and a brother, Terry Lee Bryant.
Her family includes her husband of sixty-one years, Reverend Kenneth Jordan Sr. of Lyons; children, Michele Mabie and husband Marty of Peachtree City and Kenneth Jordan Jr. and wife Rhonda of Lyons; siblings, Martha Attaway of Greensboro and Scott Bryant of Stone Mountain; four grandchildren, Bailey Slaughter, Jordan Seth Slaughter, Taylor Jordan, and Victoria Alyea; three great-grandchildren, Bowen Jordan, Molly Jordan, Jettie Alyea and one great-grandchild to be born in April.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
