obit Rudy

Mr. Rudolph G. “Rudy” Hall, age 87, of Vidalia, died Sunday, May 21, 2023, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia following an extended illness.  He was born May 8, 1936 in Emanuel County, growing up in the Norristown Community, and was a 1953 graduate of Adrian High School.  Soon after high school, Mr. Hall served in the U.S. Army for two years and was stationed in Japan.  He worked as a mill right for many years, and retired after twenty-nine years from Georgia Kraft in Macon.  He lived in Centerville before moving to Vidalia in 1992.  He was Baptist by faith, a member of the Vidalia-Lyons Moose Lodge #1281, and he took pride in taking care of his home and yard.  Preceding him in death was his wife, Ann Richardson Hall; daughter, Jerri Hall Newsome; parents, Randolph Hall and Geraldine Outlaw Hall; and a sister, Faye Hall Roberson.

His family includes one son, Todd Hall and Talmadge Fowler of Vidalia; two grandchildren, Camden Hall of Athens, and Kendahl Fowler Wilkes of Vidalia; one brother, Asa “Buddy” Hall and wife Tara of Pine Mountain; one sister, Ellen Hall Bell of Peachtree City; and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, May 24th, at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Crest Cemetery with Steve Richardson officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the cemetery on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 until just prior to the service.
