A man wanted for a Christmas Day murder in Claxton has turned himself into the Tattnall County Jail with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation reports that Darrell Williams, age 24, who was wanted in connection with the death of Marvin Smith of Hagan, turned himself in Monday. Smith was shot on East James Street in Claxon shortly after midnight on Christmas of last year and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
As of this time, Williams remains in the custody of the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office and has been given no bond.
