On Tuesday night, the Toombs County Bulldog Soccer teams squared up against Jeff Davis.
In the girls match, Toombs County grabbed a 2-0 lead, on goals by Maritza Zamorano and Anyadi Colmenares, before conceding 2 goals to the Yellow Jackets. Regulation would end 2-2, and the matched headed to overtime. In the 2nd half of overtime, Maritza Zamorano would score her 2nd goal of the night and give the bulldogs the 3-2 win, moving the girls record to 1-1-1 on the season.
In the boys match, Gustavo Delgado scored 2 times, while Yovanny Zamorano, Braylen Dietrich, and Kenneth Perez would each score 1, leading the bulldogs to a 5-1 win, and a 3-0 record overall.
The varsity teams will play again on the 14th against region opponent Tattnall County at home. Games start at 5 PM. Make plans to come out and support the Bulldogs in their first region match of the year!
