Mrs. Ruby Crews Denmark, age 78, of Macon, died Thursday, September 15, 2022, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, South Carolina after a brief illness. She was a native of Marshallville in Macon County, moved to Toombs County as a child, and lived in Macon most of her life. She was a homemaker and enjoyed shopping, cooking, drinking Pepsi, and as a child, had always wanted to be a hairdresser. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen Denmark; son, Glenn Denmark; parents, Sidney Crews and Lula Bloodworth Crews; and six brothers and sisters.
Her family includes four children, Brenda Denmark Hatfield and husband Robbie of Ft. Valley, Terry Denmark of Macon, Douglas Denmark of Pineview, and Ray Denmark and wife Clara of Jones County; nine grandchildren, Brandi Shackelford and husband Kenny of Florence, South Carolina, Matthew Denmark of Fulton, New York, Carianne Terry and husband Stephen of Pineview, Bradley Davidson of Newnan, Douglas Denmark and wife Ashley of Cochran, Ashley Denmark of Byron, Brittany Herndon and husband Brandon, Katelyn Denmark and Kristen Denmark, all of Newnan; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be Thursday afternoon, September 22nd, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Emmett Denmark officiating. Burial will follow at Hardens Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
