James Wommack 1 002

Mr. James Edward Wommack, age 89 of Glenwood, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Meadows Park of Vidalia.

He was born on August 25, 1932 in Glenwood, to the late Milton and Athlene Joiner Wommack. He had worked with Dudley Manufacturing as a cutting room manager and was a United States Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice O’ Brien.

Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Dewayne Edward Wommack (Teresa) of Barnesville, GA; two step-sons, James “Jim” O’Brien (Jill) of Glenwood and Andy O’Brien (Miranda) of Greenville, SC; three grandchildren, Addyson, Addah, and Lakin O’Brien; one brother, Tom Wommack of Madison GA; two sisters, Betty Sue Turner of Rincon GA, and Mary Ann Brasington of Pavo GA; and his special caretaker, Jennifer Goff.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 1:30pm until 2:00pm at Glenwood City Cemetery. Graveside service and interment will follow at the cemetery with Minister Chris Rayner to officiate.
