Eloise Moseley

Mrs. Elouise Walker Moseley, age 80, of Uvalda, died Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Memorial Health University Hospital in Savannah after a sudden illness.  She was a native of Jeff Davis County, lived in Fitzgerald and Baxley for a few years, but made Uvalda her home for most of her life.  She was a certified nursing assistant, worked at Toombs Manufacturing and was a private caregiver for the elderly.  She was an active member of the Cedar Crossing Baptist Church and the Dixie Dumplings.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Moseley; a son, Hubert Walker; parents, Hubert Walker and Mary Bazemore Walker; and three sisters, Pauline Loughry, Mildred Tootle, and Lucille Eason.

Her family includes three children, John Lewis Chambers and wife Carolyn of Fitzgerald, Joyce “Sally” Poole and husband Stanley of Vidalia, and Hiram Lewis Chambers and wife Ruby of Fitzgerald; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon, October 14th, at 3:00 at Cedar Crossing Baptist Church with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Moseley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
