Mr. James Edward Collins, age 70 of Savannah, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital in Savannah, Ga. 

He was born on October 10, 1950 in Soperton, GA to the late Edward and Alberta Bellflowers Collins. He was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed helping people, spending time with his beloved grandson, Bentley, and was a Mr. Fix-it who was able to read about anything and fix it himself. 

Mr. Collins is survived by two sons, Steven and Christopher Collins; a daughter, Amanda Peterson; and his grandson, Bentley Peterson. 

A private family visitation will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 5:00pm until 5:30pm with a memorial service conducted at 5:30pm at Roberts - Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia.

Public visitation will follow the memorial service from 6:00pm until 7:00pm at Roberts - Stewart Funeral Home of Vidalia.
