RTCA Track Teams Compete at State

Robert Toombs Christian Academy's Varsity track teams competed in the GISA State Track Meet on April 29-May 1, 2021 hosted by Strong Rock Christian School in Locust Grove, Georgia. The Varsity Girls track team are the GISA-AA State Runner-Ups, falling a little short of bringing home a third state title in row. However, they had several second place finished throughout the weekend with the 4x100m dash, triple jump, and pole vault. The Varsity Boys track team finished 5th overall with sophomore Jashaun Powell winning State in triple jump with a jump of 43'3" and also placed 5th overall for High Points in GISA-AA Boys. "We had an awesome weekend and I could not be more proud of how they performed at State. I am excited to watch both of these teams moving forward in the future, especially since they are a young team," states Jake Wilkinson, Head Track Coach.
