The Vidalia Indians baseball team picked up their 16th win of the season on the road Tuesday evening in the first game of their 3-game region series against East Laurens by a score of 20-3.  This puts their season record at 16-4 and region record at 7-0.  Landry Mead had another great pitching performance striking out 11 batters and only allowing 4 hits while going all 5 innings.

The Indians started out slowly on offense with only two runs in the first 3 innings getting just one hit but capitalizing on a couple of errors.  However, the bats came alive in the 4th inning with 11 hits and 15 runs, including Ty Dalley’s grand slam homerun, as they sent 19 batters to the plate.  East Laurens was able to push across 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning but Vidalia got those 3 runs back in the top of the 5th.  When East Laurens could not score in the bottom of the 5th the game was over with Vidalia winning 20-3 by run rule.
