Fresh off their Area 2 Dual Championship performance, the Vidalia High School Wrestling team will host the 2021 GHSA Quad Sectionals, Friday afternoon at H. Ralph Parsons Gymnasium.
The Indians who took down Toombs County, Washington County, East Laurens, and Swainsboro en route to their first-ever Area Duals title will begin the day by facing Northeast Macon, starting at 5:00. Also, at 5:00, Berrien County will take on Bremen, with the two winners facing each other for the right to advance to the GHSA Team Duals State Championship, a week from Saturday at Lamar County High School.
As with the Area Duals, spectators will be limited to 2 people per wrestler, whose names must be submitted before the event. The cost of admission is $8.00, and only GHSA passes will be honored. No All-Sports Booster passes will be accepted. The event will be streamed live on the Vidalia High School Wrestling Facebook page. You may access the coverage by clicking HERE
Indian Head Coach Bobby Blount whose grapplers will once again try and make history on Friday, says they are just trying to stay focused on what is in front of them at the current time. “We are just trying to keep the momentum going this weekend that we had last weekend and take it one step at a time.” (Courtesy of Vidalia High School)
