The Toombs County Middle School football team remained undefeated on Thursday when they defeated Metter 38-0 in the Pit. QB LaGonza Hayward led the team with 153 total yards and 2 TD’s on offense, and added a 45-yard punt return for a score as well. RB Brandon Smith added 44 yards and a TD. Justin Powell led the defense with 8 tackles, and Mike Polk intercepted two passes, one of which he returned for a TD. Place kicker Tucker Broadnax was a perfect 5-5 on PAT’s on the night, and added a field goal from 30 yards out.

The 6-0 Bullpups will host Metter again next Thursday in the semi-finals of the Region playoffs. Kickoff will be at 5pm.
