The J. R. Trippe Chiefs traveled to East Laurens Wednesday and defeated the Falcons 42-34. East Laurens jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first 3 minutes of the game but Trippe answered and trailed 20-14 going into the half. The Chiefs opened the next half with a touchdown on their first play from scrimmage, which started a back and forth battle for the next two quarters. The game was tied at 34 when the Chiefs got the ball on their own 22 yard line with 1:51 remaining in the game. It took the Chiefs only two plays to move it 78 yards & score the winning TD. Trippe then forced the Falcons to go 4 and out one last time and ended the game in Victory formation. The Chiefs will tee it up at home against Bleckley County Wednesday, October 14th at 4:30.
