October 7—The top ranked Vidalia Lady Indians softball team wrapped up the region schedule with a 13-1 win in five innings over the Toombs County Lady Bulldogs in Lyons Tuesday night. Vidalia jumped out to an early 7-0 lead and never looked back.
Freshman pitcher Tymber Harris struck out 14 Lady Bulldogs of the 15 outs recorded in the game for the Lady Indians.
Tori Wright hit a three-run homer and Madison Starr had a two-run blast in the first inning.for Vidalia.
Toombs County falls to 10-13 overall and 5-7 in the region.
The Lady Indians improve their record to 24-4 overall and 14-1 in the region and will be the number seed heading into the state playoffs that start October 19th at home. (Pictures by Carroll Williams)
