May 5-- Luci McDaniel Dalby, age 70 of Mt. Vernon passed away on Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2020 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.

Born in Glenville, she was raised primarily in Soperton and was a graduate of Treutlen County High School, Class of 1968.

Luci had worked as a CNA in Wheeler County and formerly as a Librarian at the Montgomery County Public Library.

She loved to read and was always comfortable surrounded by books. Her other hobbies included cooking and interior design.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Elmo McDaniel and Gloria Kight and a brother, Ricky McDaniel.

Luci leaves behind her longtime companion, McArthur “Mac” Hamilton, Mt. Vernon, GA, her children, Lee Cravey, Fernandina Beach, FL, Hope Bedoya (Julian), Dublin, GA, Win Adams (Mona), Augusta, GA, her step mother, Stella McDaniel, Soperton, GA, her siblings, Gilbert McDaniel (Gail), Mt. Vernon, GA, Lawana Newsome (Dwight), Vidalia, GA, Sue Cauley (Dan), Lothair Community, Soperton, GA, Lisa Phillips, Soperton, GA, Christy Brinson (Davis), Zaidee Community, Soperton, GA,  a special friend, April Shefelton, Las Vegas, NV, six grandchildren, Ashlee Whitt, Tara Cravey, Christina Moore, Nicholas Bedoya, Charlee Adams, Averee Adams, three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. 

Private family services were conducted from the graveside in Red Bluff Cemetery as she is laid to rest in the family plot.
