The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Mount Vernon Police Department, and the Oconee Drug Task Force worked together in executing a search warrant last Friday at 288 Geiger Street in Mount Vernon, taking drugs and firearms off the street.
Sheriff Doug Maybin reports that officers found approximately 2 grams of crack cocaine, 1 pound of marijuana, 4 firearms and $2,000 cash. Three vehicles were also seized in the search.
Officers arrested Crystal Elizabeth Warren of Mount Vernon and charged her with conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and trafficking in cocaine.
Charles Clayton Clark of Lumber city was also arrested. He was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, trafficking in cocaine, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Clark also had an outstanding warrant on another case. Both are in custody and awaiting a bond hearing before a Superior Court Judge.
