Two men have now been arrested and charged with the homicide of a Lyons man last month.

On December 8, the Lyons Police Department responded to a call about a man being shot on E. Grady Street. Officers arrived and found that Brandon Green, age 23, had been shot in the neck. He was taken to Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia by Toombs-Montgomery EMS where he died of his injuries.

On January 2, 21-year-old Dalton Wayne Holcombe was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm or knife during certain crimes, two counts of aggravated assault, felony murder, and malice murder.

Holcombe was refused bond and charges against him have been ordered to be heard by the Toombs County Grand Jury for possible indictment.

Last Wednesday, Tyquan Tyhee Toby, age 22, was also arrested and charged in the homicide of Green. Like his alleged co-defendant, Toby’s charges include possession of a firearm or knife during certain crimes, two counts of aggravated assault, felony murder, and malice murder with an additional charge of one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Both are being held in the Toombs County Detention Center without bond.
