During the regular scheduled Toombs County School Board meeting on May 8, 2025, Superintendent of Schools Barry Waller recognized this year's Toombs County School System retirees for their dedication and service to Toombs County Schools.  

Congratulations are in order to Janice Toole, and Teresa Holland (Toombs County Elementary School; Angie O'Conner, Toombs County High School; Rhonda Stone, Lyons Upper Elementary School; Maria Collins, Lyons Primary School; Terri Overstreet and Janet Lynn, Toombs County Middle School; and Sabrina Woodruff, Tonawanda Irie, and Rita Miller, Toombs County Board of Education.
