Pam Lansgton (L), the 2025 Vidalia Lady of the Year with Angela Lane, the 2024 Vidalia Lady of the Year.
Pam Langston is a very busy woman, and she’s also the latest inclusion in the Vidalia Lady of the Year recognition.
Last year’s Lady of the Year, Angela Lane, made the announcement Tuesday night at the annual banquet to honor the Adults of the Year in Vidalia.
“This year’s Lady of the Year exemplifies all of the qualities and criteria that is used to make the selection of the honor,” Lane said. “She’s been described as ‘punctual,’ ‘dedicated,’ and ‘willing to do whatever she needs to do.’
“She likes to fly under the radar,” Lane continued. “She doesn’t do what she does for any recognition, but she is the true example of word ‘volunteer.” It is my pleasure to announced that Pam Langston is this year’s recipient of the Vidalia Lady of the Year.”
Langston humbly accepted the award and stated, “I am a private person as Angela said. I do what I do to help the community. As she said, I have volunteered at The Mercy Clinic, and I’ve loved it, but my passion right now is at the Tommy and Shirley Strickland Cancer Center. I love the patients, the staff, and I love what I do there.”
Langston is also active in her church, volunteering with the Chamber of Commerce, the Vidalia City Schools, and anywhere in the community in which she is called upon to lend a helping hand.
The Annual Citizen and Lady of the Year Banquet is co-sponsored each year by the Vidalia Kiwanis Club, the Vidalia Rotary Club, and the Vidalia Lions Club.
