Early voting continues in Georgia for the General Election next week. As of Saturday, the Toombs County Board of Elections reports that 5,512 in person votes have been cast and 317 absentee ballots have been returned to be tallied. According to the University of Florida Election Lab that keeps a running total of votes, 2.8 million have already voted with the highest populus of those voters being between the ages of 41 – 65 and over 55 percent females.
Early voting continues in Georgia through this Friday, November 1 at 5:00. Early in-person voting can only be done at the Elections Office in the Toombs County Courthouse. Identification is required to vote.
On Election Day, which is next Tuesday, all precincts in the county will be open from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Any absentee ballots that have not been returned must be in by 7:00 and dropped off only at the elections office. No absentee ballots will be accepted at any precinct.
