Mrs. Kathy Edenfield Clark, age 62, of the Marvin Yancey Community, died Friday, November 24, 2023, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near her home. She was born June 25, 1961 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to the late Thomas Aaron “T.A.” Edenfield and Lavina Tuggle Edenfield. Her father was serving in the Air Force, and her family lived in Arkansas, Spain, and Texas, before moving to Toombs County in 1973. Kathy was a 1979 graduate of Toombs Central School. She was a homemaker and substitute schoolteacher at Toombs Central for seventeen years. She was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, and she enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, baking, and decorating.
Her family includes her husband of forty-one years, Freddie S. Clark; one son, Hoke Clark; one granddaughter, Layken Clark, all of Marvin Yancey; one brother, Rodney Edenfield and wife Gail of Lyons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held later.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Mt. Moriah Cemetery Fund, c/o Jane Riner, 685 Ernest Webber Road, Lyons, GA 30436.
