DALTON, Ga. – The Brewton-Parker Women’s Soccer team traveled to Dalton, Ga. to face Dalton State on Thursday night.

The Lady Barons (0-3-1, 0-1 SSAC) lost to the Roadrunners (4-2-1, 1-1 SSAC) by a score of 5-0.

How It Happened | First Half

The Lady Barons went down early, conceding two goals in the first three minutes of the game. Kathleen Fisher was able to get the first shot off for the Lady Barons in the 8th minute, but unfortunately, the shot was wide.

The Roadrunners extended their lead with a third goal in the 23rd minute of the game. Fisher had opportunities for two more shots in the 38th minute, but both were unsuccessful. The Roadrunners scored once again in the 42nd minute, followed by a shot from Julissa Sanchez in the 44th minute to finish out the half.

The Lady Barons were outplayed 10-4 in shots and 6-0 in shots on target in the first half.

How It Happened | Second Half

The Roadrunners came out swinging in the second half, taking six shots before extending the lead to 5-0 in the 63rd minute.

Unfortunately for the Lady Barons, the offensive threat grew cold as BPC was unable to register a shot in the second half. Despite the 10-0 shot advantage from the hosts, BPC did a solid job defensively to allow just the lone goal as Naphtaline Clermeus gathered five saves in the second 45.(Courtesy of BPC)
