On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, Probate Judge Rubie Nell Sanders administered the oath of office to incoming Montgomery County Board of Elections and Registration member, James Welch.  Welch was appointed by the Board of Commissioners to fill the unexpired term of the late  Erica Russell. 

Welch is retired and resides in the Tarrytown area.  His term begins effective immediately and will expire on January 1, 2025, with his first meeting with the Board of Elections and Registration  scheduled for October 10, 2023.
