The Toombs County golf team competed in the 2023 state championship tournament on 5-22 and 5-23 at Okefenokee Country Club in Waycross. Due to the rain, the 36 hole tournament was shortened to 18 holes over the 2 days. The bulldogs placed 8th in their first state appearance in decades with a score of 364. The team was led by freshman Vick Moore with a score of 89.
