Mrs. Louise Phillips Peebles, age 79 of Swainsboro passed away on Monday morning, March 13, 2022 at Pruitt Health of Swainsboro.  She was the beloved wife of the late Jackey W. “Jack”, “J.W.” Peebles who passed away in 2020.

Mrs. Peebles was one of five children born to the late K. W. and Fleta Bell Hutcheson Philllips.  She had made the Soperton and Swainsboro areas her home for most of her lifetime.  She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed fishing and cooking for her family.

She and her husband had attended Thigpen Chapel.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two daughters, Vicky and Sherry Hutcheson and siblings, Madlin Anderson, Jimmy Phillips and Margaret Brooks.

Mrs. Peebles leaves behind: her only surviving sister, Susan Gantt, Augusta, GA, a niece, Jennifer Akeson, a nephew, Richard Cicero, a great nephew, Taylor Sanders  and two great nieces, Jada Akeson and Emma Akeson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from the graveside in the Thigpen Chapel Cemetery with Reverend Arthur Conley officiating.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 pm until time to depart for the cemetery, at Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton, Georgia.
