Mr. Matt Otis Williams, Jr., age 59, of Vidalia, died Monday, February 27, 2023, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin after an extended illness.  Matt was born April 7, 1963 in Waynesboro, Georgia to the late Matt Otis Williams, Sr. and Mamie Lou Jenkins Williams.  He was raised in a Christian home by Mr. and Mrs. Elder Moses White of Montrose, Georgia.  He finished high school at West Laurens High School in Dublin.  He worked for ESG Operations, Inc. for the City of Vidalia.  Matt was a devoted member of New Life Church at 2200 Center Drive in Vidalia.  He served as an usher and was a member of the men’s group at the church.  He is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Vera Denise Williams (Cookie).

Matt is survived by his siblings, Rebecca Williams of Augusta, Linda Brunette (Robert) of Hephzibah, Annette Brooke (Gregory) of Jonesboro, Sweetie Lee Williams (Connie) of Dublin; stepbrother, Rayvone Jackson; stepsister, Mary Tillman, both of Vidalia; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other family and friends he shared his life with.  Matt is gone but will never be forgotten.

The funeral service will be Saturday, March 11th, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Senior Pastor Rusty Houser and Pastor Tina Houser officiating.  Burial will follow at East Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home on Friday evening, March 10th from 6:00 until 8:00.
