Several of Vidalia’s finest in the police department and fire department were presented awards recently at the annual Public Safety banquet. The police awards were presented by Major Roger Calloway with Fire Chief Brian Sikes awarding the fire department. Recipients were selected by their peers.

Police Awards presented including Employee of the Year, Tammy Peacock; Rookie of the Year, Scott Howard; Supervisor of the Year, Lt. Jonathan Humphrey; Officer of the Year, Cpl. Harley Roberson; and Top Gun Award, Lt. Kim Williamson.

Sponsor awards were also presented to Linda Gail Durden, Reedy Creek Meat Company, Dr. Ron and Linda Mosley, and Ken and Faye Mosley.

Community partnership service awards were presented to Carl and Clint Cooper.
