Chris Allen

Mr. Chris J. Allen, age 49, of Vidalia, died Sunday, August 14, 2022, after a sudden illness.  He was a lifelong resident of Vidalia, a 1992 graduate of Vidalia High School and he attended Brewton-Parker College.  He worked at Trane and Lit Industries for several years, and was currently the treating operator at Kopper’s Utility and Industrial.  He enjoyed the Vidalia Indians, Georgia Tech, and the Atlanta Braves, as well as bowling and playing softball, where he was known as #10.  He was Baptist by faith.  He is preceded in death by his father, Royce Allen; maternal grandparents, Henry Beasley and Alene Phillips Beasley; paternal grandparents, James Allen and Rosa Lee Walker Allen.

His family includes his mother, Ethelene Beasley Allen; one sister, Lisa Parker and husband Donald, all of Vidalia; one brother, Jeff Evans of Alston; one niece and two nephews; and his dog, Storm.

The funeral service will be Thursday afternoon. August 18th, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Troy Williams, Pastor Clint Hutcheson and Pastor Daniel Gilliam officiating.  Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
