On behalf of the Awards Committee, Lion Larry Griggers, presented 2021-2022 LION OF THE YEAR to Lion Lucretia Nobles. Lion Lucretia is actively involved in all projects of the club but her service this past term was most significant in that she chaired the 2021 Lyons Citizen of the Year Banquet which was a huge success. Lion Lucretia serves our community well and is very deserving of this honor.
The 2021-2022 Hardy Thomas Faithful Service Award was presented to Lion Darriel Nobles "For his continued willingness over four decades to volunteer for leadership roles and actively take on service projects of the Lyons Lions Club". Lion Darriel has served the Lyons Lions Club for over 40 years, and currently serves as club treasurer and program chairman. This service recognition award is named in honor of Lion Hardy Thomas who was a Lion for over 50 years and worked tirelessly for the club right up until only a few weeks prior to his passing in 2021.(Left to right): Lion Larry Griggers, Awards Committee Member and Lion Darriel Nobles, award recipient
