ClaxtonPamPIC 002

Pamela Gene “Pam” Claxton passed gently from her earthly body on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in Warner Robins at Houston Medical Center, after a brief illness.  Her caregivers and cousins, George and Jennifer Claxton were by her side.

Pam was born on November 11, 1968 in Vidalia, Georgia to Shirley Carson and Talmadge Claxton.  She graduated from MCHS in 1988.  She held several jobs before becoming disabled; to include Kentucky Fried Chicken in Vidalia and Easter Seals in Soperton.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents, her paternal grandparents, William Zackie and Fannie Belle Beasley Claxton, maternal grandparents, Fred and Helen Dean Courson, a half brother, James Claxton and a special aunt, Lynette Coleman.

She leaves behind, a daughter, Alicia Claxton Crabb (Kevin), grandchildren, Annabelle and Elijah Gillis, half sisters, Connie Beasley (Newton), Wrightsville, GA, Joann Goins, McDonough, GA and a dear friend, Mona Siagnrella of Jacksonville, FL, three uncles, Bobby Claxton, Soperton, Roy Glenn Claxton (Kathy), Kibbee, Gary Coleman, Tarrytown, aunts, Kitty Foskey (Wayne), Vidalia, Jeanette Mizzell, St. George, SC, uncle, Charles Carson, Walterboro, SC, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pam’s bright smile and giggly personality could brighten up anyone’s day but she could also be a challenge for her caregivers. One could not help but to love her.  She loved her family, talking on the phone and filling in cross word puzzles.  She loved listening to country music; especially her CDs of Jason Aldean and Alan Jackson.

Pam lived in the Kibbee community her entire life.  She enjoyed riding her golf cart on the dirt roads, and watching TV; especially WWE wrestling.  She loved pretty jewelry, fire engine red lipstick and nail polish and her little dog Pee Wee.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the Tarrytown Baptist Church with Dr. Clifton Drawdy and Rev. Chuck Morgan officiating.

Pam will be laid to rest beside her parents in Tarrytown Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, at the church, from 12:00 noon until the hour of service.
