Linda Oxford 002

Linda Horton Oxford, age 72 of East Dublin passed away at her home on Tuesday afternoon, May 17, 2022.

Born in Johnson County, she was one of nine and the last living child born to the late Euthon and Sally Blanch Pullen Horton.  She had lived in Scott and Minter for a period of time before settling in Laurens County where she has lived for the past fifty years.  She had operated a newspaper distribution route for the Dublin Courier Herald for a few years.  She enjoyed yard sales and flower gardening.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Oxford, her siblings and a grandson.

Mrs. Oxford leaves behind a former husband, Alexander Thomas Oxford, her children, Tim Oxford, Sandy Creamer (Matthew), Marty Oxford (Mary), all of East Dublin, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 21, 2022 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend L. T. Logue officiating.

Mrs. Oxford will be laid to rest beside her daughter in Poplar Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, Adrian, GA.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 10:00 am until the hour of service or friends and family may call at the home of her son, Marty.
