Vidalia  Heritage Academy Eagles Baseball team swept Praise Academy in the State Championship on Friday, May 13, 2022. The Eagles won the first game 5-2. Eagles got the game going with a solo homer by Ledger Curl in the first inning. Hardy Franklin continued to get the ball rolling with a double off the first pitch that scored a run in the fifth inning. Senior Mason Beacham pitched the first game striking out nine. The Eagles did not commit a single error.

The second game brought about 13 hits for the Eagles. The second inning being the biggest for the Eagles scoring 5 runs. Sophomore JT Cofield pitched all seven innings striking out twelve and walking one. The Eagles won 8-1 in the second game bringing home the 2022 GAPPS State Championship.

Head Coach Seth Sitzman stated that he was beyond proud of the boys and the effort that they put into the game. He continue to say that the Eagles have a bright future ahead of them.
