Toombs and Montgomery counties are diverse in many ways including business opportunities. That was evident Thursday afternoon at the 2021 Business Expo hosted by the Greater Vidalia Chamber of Commerce in what one businessman calls, “adult Trick-or-Treating.”

Dr. Heidi Reuschling coordinated the event, noting that almost 80 local businesses set up booths to showcase their areas of expertise and offer free incentives and materials for people to pick up.

“We had 80 or so to sign up and 75 of those showed up and set up booths,” Dr. Reuschling said. “Having events like this are important because it gives businesses a chance to showcase what they do. So often we ride down the road and don’t really know what our local businesses are or do, and this is a chance to let the community know.”

Dr. Reuschling was assisted in organizing the event by a committee of Chamber members and associates and said that it was “enjoyable.”

“We will start planning the 2022 Expo in about 5 months,” she said. “We start early so it can be great!”
