Quince Anderson

Mr. Quince L. Anderson, age 61, of Lyons, died Monday, September 13, 2021, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after a brief battle with Covid.  He was a native of Leesburg, Florida, and lived there until moving to Lyons in 1993.  He was a truck driver with Canoochee for many years, and was a member of the Cedar Crossing Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, cooking, hunting, and boating with his grandchildren.  More importantly, he was big-hearted to family, friends, and to anyone in need.  He is preceded in death by his parents, LV and Elnora Anderson; siblings, Alfrieda Anderson, James Mason, Dewey Mason, Pierce Mason, John Anderson, Nora Hare, and Sudie Anderson.

His family includes his wife, Dorothy Anderson, two children, Jackie and Joey Thigpen and Matthew and Autumn Anderson; three grandchildren, James Thigpen, Jase Thigpen, and Vayda Coxwell, all of Lyons; five siblings, Fannie Van Order of Ocklawaha, Florida, Viola Pratt of Ocala, Florida, Priscilla and Jimmy Lee of Ocklawaha, Florida, Bill J and Judy Mason of Coleman, Florida, and LV and Lori Anderson of Leesburg, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

The funeral service will be Saturday, September 18th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar Crossing Baptist Church with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedar Crossing Cemetery.
