Drew Young, Field Representative for United States Senator Raphael Warnock

A small gathering of leaders met with Drew Young Thursday morning in the Durden Cabin in Partin Park. Young is a Field Representative for U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock.

Questions fielded from the audience included concerns about Toombs County infrastructure, affordable housing for low-income families, addressing mental health services available to those in need, crime and law enforcement protection, and outreach programs for youth and single parents.

Young said the concerns expressed Thursday will be turned over the Chief of Staff to review. After an appropriate amount of time, a follow-up meeting will be held in Toombs County to discuss the how the local issues will be addressed.

Young said that Sen. Warnock mandated that his staff have a county meeting in all 159 counties in the State by October, and that task will be completed by the end of this month.
