Angla Michelle Simons McCullars, age 56 of Tarrytown passed away at her home on Saturday afternoon, July 10, 2021.
Born in Dublin, she was the only daughter of two children born to the late William Larkin Simons Sr. and Grady Mae Walker Simons. She grew up in Laurens County and was a graduate of Dublin High School, Class of 1983. After high school, she worked at the J. P. Stevens Woolen Mill for a short time before joining the Dairy Queen in Dublin that she managed for fifteen years. She left Dairy Queen and accepted employment at Shamrock Bowling Center in Dublin where she was the Manager of the Concession Stand and Bar and a member of the Wednesday morning Coffee League. She had attended Swainsboro Technical School and Southeastern Technical College in pursuit of a Nursing Degree.
Michelle had been a lifelong resident of Laurens County until moving to Tarrytown in 2010 to take care of her father, on the family homestead.
She loved all animals and especially her Chihuahua fur baby, Bingo as well as her Honda Gold Wing motorcycle.
She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church in East Dublin.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Nora Suzanne “Susie” McCullars, her brother, William Larkin “Larkie” Simons Jr., a nephew, William Larkin “Bill” Simons III, her paternal grandparents, Cecil Eugene and Nora “Susie” Curl Simons, her maternal grandparents, Grady and Ernie Walker, an aunt, Estelle Thomas and a host of other loved ones meeting her in heaven.
Michelle leaves behind, her daughter, Crystal Livingston, (Jammie), Dublin, GA, a nephew, William Dustin Simons, Jacksonville, FL, her “Partner in Crime”, Theresa and all of her loved, adopted, children.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Walker, officiating. Following the service a luncheon will be provided for her family and friends at the Shamrock Bowling Center, 104 Bowling Lane, Dublin, GA 31021
Michelle will be laid to rest in Tarrytown Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Eli Holmes, Paul Holmes, Jason Gay, Casey Bradshaw, Dustin Simons and Chad McCullars.
