The Vidalia Track programs made a huge power statement on Thursday, capturing both the Girls and Boys Region 2AA Titles at East Laurens. The Lady Indians scored 215 points outdistancing Swainsboro by 104 points. The Indians also lapped the field with 215 points, outpacing Swainsboro by 110 points. Vidalia also had both the girls and the boys High Point Performer, with Sarah Owens taking the girls title with 32 points and Michael Madison scoring 25 points to take the boys title

Both teams had several individuals set Personal Records, with Hayden Williamson tying a school record in the High Jump with a leap of 5’2″.

The top four finishers in each event qualify for the State Sectionals, which are set for Saturday, May 8th at East Laurens, with events beginning at 9:00 AM.

Girls VHS- 215, Swainsboro 111, Jeff Davis 89

Boys VHS-211, 2nd Swainsboro 101, Jeff Davis 100

High Point

Girls - Sarah Owen-scoring 32 points, 1st place in 800, 1600, 3200, and 2nd in 4x400

Boys - Michael Madison- scoring 25 pts, 1st place in 100, 200, 4x100 and 4x400
