4 6 21 VHS Riley Signs

(L to R, Front): Jaime Fortier (mother), Riley Hammock, Robert Hammock (father), Melissa Hammock (stepmother); (Back): Head Coach William Harn.

April 6—Senior student athlete Riley Hammock of the Vidalia Lady Indians Soccer team signed a letter of intent for a scholarship to play soccer for the Lady Barons at Brewton-Parker College in Mt Vernon.

“I chose BPC because they have a great Christian student athlete atmosphere and I feel like it is the right place for me. I want to thank my parents and especially Coach Harn for always pushing us to do our best and encouraging me to take advantage of this opportunity. And I want to thank Coach Prince for seeing the potential in me for next season.” Hammock said.

VHS Coach William Harn, “We are excited like we always are when we have people who have given great effort throughout the four years of their career and show what it can turn into. Riley is definitely a representation of the Vidalia Indian spirit and she will represent us well at the next level.”

"I think BPC will be good for her because they have smaller classes and the coaches are focused on Christian values and that helps to keep her motivated where she needs to be." Jamie Fortier said.

“Riley is always proven to be the best person she can be, she is outgoing, a true leader. Riley doesn’t let anybody tell her what she can and can’t do on the field. She is a “Straight A” student and just a perfect child and you couldn’t ask for any better.” Robert Hammock said.
