4 1 21 Spivey

The Vidalia Indians take Game Two of the region series against Toombs County at Greg James Field in Vidalia by a 9-2 score on Wednesday evening. The game start time was moved up to 5:00 because of the threat for stormy weather and it was a good thing as the rains came just as the last out was made. Vidalia got another great pitching performance from Caden Spivey. Spivey went 6 2/3 innings giving up only three hits while striking out 11 Bulldogs for his third win of the season  With the stormy weather looming and the wind whistling Toombs County came to bat in the top of the 7th inning down 9-2 and quickly loaded the bases with only one out.  Bryce Morley was brought into the game in relief of Spivey and he slammed the door shut on the rally by striking out the number 3 and 4 hitters to end the threat and the game.
