Mrs. Dora Snow Williams, age 53, of Adrian, Georgia passed away on Tuesday afternoon, January 19, 2021 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia.

Born in Fernandina Beach, Florida, she was the eldest daughter born to the late Kenneth Leroy Drury and Peggy Faye Snow.  She grew up in Fernandina Beach until moving with her family to East Dublin, Georgia in 1978.  Dora attended East Laurens High School and obtained her Nursing Certifications from Heart of Georgia Technical College and Macon College in Macon, GA.  She worked at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin from where she retired in the mid 2000s.  During her thirty year nursing career she spent twenty seven of those years working in Obstetrics and the Nursery.

Dora enjoyed handcrafts, needlepoint, collecting lighthouses and time spent with her family and friends.

She was a member of Poplar Springs United Methodist Church.

Dora leaves behind her husband of thirty three years, Adrian native, Jerry F. Williams, their son, Douglas Griffin Williams, their daughter, Cora Elizabeth Williams, all of Adrian, GA, siblings, Kevin Drury (Karen), East Dublin, GA, Donna Wall (David), Dexter, GA, Aubrey Shrader (Sharon), Hazlehurst, GA, Ken Drury, Fernandina Beach, FL, Erin Drury, Fernandina Beach, FL, Christy Youngblood (Tom), Yulee, FL, her step mother, Claudette Drury, Fernandina Beach, FL, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church with Reverend Mark Hardin.

Dora will be laid to rest in the family plot at Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends on Friday, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton, Georgia.
