Law enforcement has officially charged a woman with the death of a bicyclist last month on Pulaski Road near the Bulloch and Candler County line.
Sierra Monique Boatwright was arrested last Thursday in Bulloch County and charged with homicide by vehicle and hit-and-run resulting in serious injury or death.
On May 7, around 10:00 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a report of a man being struck by a vehicle while he was either on or beside his bicycle according to a witness. The driver believed to have struck the man had fled the scene.
The deceased was identified as Darnell Hodges of Register.

She was booked on a 48-hour investigative hold as the case was under review.
