Three people were seriously injured Tuesday morning in a two-car collision at North Tattnall Elementary School between Reidsville and Collins.

The Reidsville Fire Department and emergency personnel responded to the scene just after 7:00 Tuesday morning where they found one person entrapped in one of the vehicles. The Jaw of Life were employed to free the person. Two occupants in the second vehicle were also injured.

All three individuals were treated by EMS personnel at the scene and then transported to local hospitals for medical treatment. One person required more extensive care and was airlifted to a Savannah hospital.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
