A message scripted on the wall in a bathroom stall Thursday brought concern to the staff at Tattnall County High School in Reidsville and had the administration and law enforcement taking the writing seriously.

Tattnall County High School issued an alert Thursday afternoon confirming  that the matter is being handled appropriately and is under investigation by local authorities.

Out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased police presence on campus, but at this time, school personnel do not believe there is a credible threat to the safety of students of staff at the home of the Battle Creek Warriors.

The administration said, however, they will continue to monitor the situation closely and encourage students to report any concerns to a trusted adult or school administration if they suspect something.
