The man who led Vidalia police as well as the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office and a K-Unit from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources on a foot chase last spring has been indicted by the Toombs County Grand Jury.
On May 10 Iran Darna Harris robbed the Captain D’s restaurant in Vidalia at gunpoint and then fled toward the nearby shopping center. After a brief foot pursuit, he was located near a drainage culvert on Third Street between Bay and Winona Streets.
On Tuesday of this week, the Grand Jury indicted Harris on one count each of armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and two counts each of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
