A multiple agency search warrant execution in Jenkins County has led to the arrests of four individuals for illegal drug activity. On Friday, August 22, the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Drug Suppression Unit, along with the Jenkins County, Sheriff’s Office, Bryan County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit and the Rincon Police Department K-9 Unit conducted two search warrants in Millen, one at a motel on U.S. 25 highway in Millen, and one at a home on Old Waynesboro Road also in Millen. During the warrant searches, investigators seized guns, drugs, tools for distributing controlled substances, and thousands of dollars in currency.
Arrested at the residence was Marquette Wadley who was charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute. Shavelle Lovett and Karen Summers were arrested at the Sunsett Inn and charged with possession with intent to distribute various drugs, possession of tools for the commission of a felony, use of communication device to facility a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Artravious Adams was also arrested at the hotel and charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute and possession of tools for the commission of a felony.
