The following closures and schedule changes are for Thursday, January 23rd.  These will be updated often as more information becomes available.

Vidalia City Hall will open at 12:00 noon Thursday, January 23rd. 

All Montgomery County Offices, Solid Waste Sites, and The Courthouse will remain closed on Thursday, January 23, 2025. We will reopen on Friday, January 24, 2025, for regular office hours.
Toombs County Schools closed to students and staff on Thursday, January 23rd.

Vidalia City Schools will be closed and cancel all extracurricular activities for Thursday January 23rd.

Robert Toombs Christian Academy will be closed to students and staff on Thursday, January 23rd.

Vidalia Heritage Academy will be closed on Thursday, January 23rd. All planned afterschool activities have also been cancelled.

Southeastern Technical College will remain closed on Thursday, January 23 and plan to reopen with normal operating hours on Monday, January 27.

Treutlen County Schools will be closed on Thursday, January 23rd for all staff and students due to the hazardous road conditions. All extracurricular activities scheduled for Thursday will be cancelled/rescheduled.

Emanuel County Schools closed to students and staff on Thursday, January 23rd.

David Emanuel Academy will close on Thursday, January 23.  All previously scheduled practices/games are also cancelled.

Candler County Schools will be closed to students and staff on Thursday, January 23rd.

Evans County Schools will be closed on Thursday, January 23, all after school activities school-sponsored events are cancelled for Wednesday, January 22, and Thursday, January 23.

Montgomery County Schools will be closed on Thursday, January 23rd for students and staff.

Wheeler County Schools will remain closed Thursday 1/23 and reopen Friday 1/24.

Appling County Schools closed to students and staff on Thursday, January 23rd.

Tattnall County Schools closed to students and staff on Thursday, January 23rd.

Telfair County Schools will remain closed Thursday, January 23, 2025, for all students and staff. We plan to return to a normal school schedule on Friday, January 24, 2025. 

Jeff Davis County Schools will be remain closed for staff and students tomorrow, Thursday, January 23rd. This includes all after-school events as well as athletics.
 
Dublin City Schools will have an AT-HOME LEARNING DAY tomorrow, Thursday, January 23rd.  Staff and families will work from home to ensure everyone’s safety. Teachers will post assignments via ParentSquare and Google Classroom no later than 9:00 AM tomorrow. We also encourage families to take this opportunity to read with their child and engage in additional at-home learning activities.  All games, practices, and extracurricular activities scheduled for tomorrow have been canceled.

Laurens County Schools will be closed on Thursday, January 23rd for students, staff and activities.

Trinity Christian will cancel classes for Thursday, January 23. We anticipate being in class on Friday, January 24.

Bulloch County Schools will be closed on Thursday, January 23rd for students and staff.

Bulloch Academy will be closed on Thursday, January 23rd for students and staff.

Screven County Schools closed to students and staff on Thursday, January 23rd.

The Georgia Southern University basketball game versus Coastal Carolina scheduled for tonight (Wednesday) has been rescheduled for 1:00 pm Thursday.

The Dublin VA hopes to open at noon on Thursday, but that can change based on conditions. Appointments may move to virtual or be rescheduled.

Georgia Military College, GMC Prep School, and all satellite locations will be closed Thursday, January 23. The institution will have a delayed start on Friday, January 24, at 9 AM.

Oconee Fall Line Technical College: The college will close all of its campuses on Thursday.
