The Vidalia High School Track Teams made an outstanding showing at the GHSA AA State Sectional held at East Jackson High School last weekend. Seven Girls, along with four Girls Relay Teams, qualified for this week’s State Championships, which will also be held at East Jackson.
On the Boy’s side, six individuals and four Relay teams qualified for the meet, which begins Thursday. “We predicted the fierce competition and some weather challenges, but the results our team put up really blew us away,” said Vidalia Head Coach Mandy Godbee. The boys and girls stepped up with their backs against the wall. With 3 school records going down and multiple PRs throughout the meet, we know that these kids are ready to compete at the highest level this week at state,” said Godbee.
